Kverneland are focussing on the potential of the Optima V precision drill at Tillage-Live. Product Manager Graham Owen says, “We will be demonstrating the versatility of the machine in sowing rape and sugar beet in standard conditions, in addition to following the Kultistrip till machine.”
The mounted six-row drill uses a hydraulically operated tescopic frame which means the drill is fully adjustable across its working width, offering row spacing capability from 45 – 8- cm.
The fertiliser hopper is mounted directly on top of the headstock. The 100ltr hopper is specially designed to put the centre of gravity even more to the front to reduce lifting requirements. Another new feature is the new vacuum air system. The manifold system gives the machine a cleaner look but more importantly improves the airflow to increase the seed spacing accuracy.
